In the Amphibians workshop, participants will explore the unique anatomy, proportions, and textures of frogs and other amphibians through observation and sketching. Through guided demonstrations and drawing exercises, you'll learn techniques for capturing their distinctive forms, expressive poses, and intricate patterns with confidence.

Participants are encouraged to bring curiosity, patience, and a willingness to observe deeply. This series blends art, nature connection, and skill-building in a supportive, relaxed environment. Beginners welcome!

Meet the Instructor

Libby Pryor is a self-taught artist; spending time in the backcountry as a child, a sketchbook and paint were usually in hand. Libby continues to explore outdoors, forging a connection to, and an understanding of the natural world; in 2020 she gained her certificate in Natural History Illustration while staying on an off-grid island in the Broughton Archipelago. Libby began teaching at artsPlace in the summer of 2019 and has since enjoyed sharing her joy of painting and crafting with others. Libby especially loves to share her passion of using the arts to connect to the outdoors.
