NAZA (2026) – Directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor

Special Jury Prize, 83rd Venice International Film Festival

“NAZA” is the Israeli military acronym for “collateral damage”: the number of civilians intelligence officials expect to be killed in an airstrike. Based on three years of investigative reporting by The Guardian, +972 Magazine and Local Call, the documentary features testimonies from 24 anonymous Israeli military and intelligence sources on how these estimates were set and approved during the war in Gaza. Directed by Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, co-directors of the Oscar-winning No Other Land. Produced by The Guardian, with Jonathan Glazer as executive producer.
