The Canadian Mountain Arts Foundation (CMAF) is a registered non-profit society under the Alberta Societies Act and is the governing body of artsPlace.
CMAF is governed by a 12 to 15-member Board of Directors. Up to 14 Directors are elected by Members of the Society (CMAF Members) and one Director, a Town of Canmore Councillor, is appointed by Town of Canmore Council on an annual basis.
We are seeking qualified and committed volunteers to join the Canadian Mountain Arts Foundation (artsPlace) Board of Directors or one of our Board committees.
We are currently seeking a volunteer Finance and Audit Committee Member. This is a meaningful opportunity for a senior finance professional to contribute to Canmore’s community arts centre at an important time for the organization. The role is intended to become Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee following the April 2027 AGM.
The volunteer Board of Directors is at the heart of the charitable work of the Canadian Mountain Arts Foundation and artsPlace in the Bow Valley.
If you are interested in joining the team, please submit an expression of interest, including an up-to-date copy of your CV, by email to board@artsplacecanmore.com stating why you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, your connection to the arts and creativity and the Bow Valley, as well as how your background and experience could best support the work and potential growth of artsPlace.
Thank you in advance for your interest in taking on a larger role in supporting our mandate and vision.
