Discover Art Access Program

We believe experiencing the arts is a right regardless of financial means.

“artsPlace has made it possible for us to participate in the arts and culture programming in our community. Thank you so much from my family.”

artsPlace works with the Towns of Canmore and Banff and their respective affordable services programs to identify residents eligible to receive subsidies of 50-65%. These subsidies are funded by artsPlace through the generosity of our donors.

By ensuring our programs are accessible to every member of the Bow Valley community, we are part of a coordinated community response that provides eligible residents with increased access to supports aimed at making the Bow Valley a livable community for all.

Eligible participants receive a 65% discount off regular prices for multi-week courses and a 50% discount off workshops, movies, special screenings and live performances.

Program participants are not eligible for early class registration, and Discover Art Access Program benefits cannot be combined with artsPlace Membership benefits.

For more information about eligibility or to apply, visit canmore.ca/affordable or banff.ca/access

Support for the Discover Art Fund is provided by

Herman and Judy Cooper, Patricia Johnston, Priscilla and Robert Janes, Lesley Russell on behalf of the Spurline Trail Art Project, Georg McKay, Mary Young, Chris Bartolomie, Silvia Stettler and many other generous community members.
